Surviving are five sons: Leon Ball, Charles H. Ball, Ronald Ball, all of Mitchell, IN, Kenneth Ball of Bedford, IN, and James W. Ball of Bloomington, IN; three daughters: Mary Louise Williams and Mildred Henderson, both of Mitchell, IN, and Lavon Callahan of Bedford, IN; two sisters: Stella Terry of Mitchell, IN, and Hester Lindquist of Chicago, IL; twenty-seven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, John Ernest Ball; three brothers, Sam, Noble, and Dewey Ball; two sisters, Martha Reynolds and Cora Blanton; and four grandchildren.
He was a retired employee of Lehigh Portland Cement and a farmer. He was a member of the Mitchell Church of Nazarene.
Services for John Ball will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 10th, at Chastain Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
