Helen Wolcott, was born February 21, 1851, at Watertown, Ohio, and was the daughter of Alanson and Caroline Wolcott. She was one of a family of thirteen children, who all lived to be men and women.

Helen married David Fleming, November 18, 1869, and to this union were born three children, Alvan Alanson, who died November 24, 1893, David Earl, of Tacoma, Washington and Sylbert Ray of Fayetteville, Arkansas

They moved to Chicago in about the year 1895 where Mr. Fleming was in the post office department for several years. David Fleming preceded her in death on April 13, 1900.

She them married Warren E. Russel, of Chicago, Illinois on October 13, 1902, and moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas. Warren Russel died October 1903,

She then married Dr. E. C. Ellis, of Hot Springs, Arkansas on May 1904, and Dr. Ellis passed away in April 1908.

Then she moved to California, where she has since resided with her son until her visit to Ohio in May 1919.

After a very pleasant visit among her relatives and friends she passed away at her sister's Mrs. Kate W Harvey's October 14 1919.

She was a very happy disposition and was much loved by all who knew her.
