Major League Baseball Player. He played at the third base, second base and shortstop positions for seven seasons (1947 to 1953) with the New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. He was a member of the 1951 National League Pennant-winning Giants' team and recorded two plate appearances in two games during the World Series. In 354 career regular season games, he had 221 hits with a .242 lifetime batting average. He died from a stroke.
