Graveside service for Maxine Glasscock Reynolds, 87, of Decatur will be Monday, May 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. Dr. Craig Carlisle officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reynolds died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at River City Care and Rehabilitation. She was born May 15, 1921, in Jemison to Gus Leroy Glasscock and Lucy Pearl Mitchell Glasscock.
Her husband, Hugh P. Reynolds, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann R. Carpenter and husband, Dennis, of Decatur and Margaret R. Parker and husband, Bob, of Trussville; three grandsons, Mark P. Carpenter and wife, Dori, of Hoover, Alan E. Carpenter and wife, Brandi, of Decatur and Seth R. Parker of Trussville; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Brookhaven Middle School Library, Decatur.
