Granger - Arlin Ernest Bate, 78, 1747 American Park Dr., Granger, died January 21, 1977, in a Salt Lake City hospital of a heart attack.
Born Jan. 5, 1899, Charleston, Wasatch County, to Ernest Timothy and Mary Elizabeth Orgill Bate. Married Erma Marie Kinder, Sept. 11, 1923, Farmington. He was veteran, WWI, member Knights of Pythias. Member, Elk Lodge, Lander, Wyo. Resided in Lander, 30 years.
Survivors: wife; sons, Neal, Denver, Colo.; Robert L., Brookings, Ore.; daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Arla) Hendricks, Ella Bate, both Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lenore Eardly, Salt Lake City; Cleo Tripp, San Dimas, Calif.; Jean McCaley, Phoenix, Ariz.
Funeral services Monday, 11 a.m., Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., where friends may call one hour before services. Funeral directors, Memorial Estates Mortuary.
