Joe married a woman named Violet, and they lived and raised their family in Latrobe, the place he had been raised himself. His sister Alice gave her firstborn daughter, my grandma, the middle name Violet in honor of her sister-in-law, who was well-liked in the family.
He and his wife are buried near my great-grandmother Alice Wellek Wetmore and her husband William.
