Death of Mr. J. J. Tucker.
At his home, seven miles northwest of LaFayette, yesterday, there passed from earth to heaven one of the oldest and most respected citizens of Chambers County. Mr. J. J. Tucker, after many days of suffering has gone to rest. For years this man had been one of the most industrious and enterprising farmers, and by his strict business methods had acquired quite a fortune. He leaves a wife and seven children to mourn his departure. He will be missed by a large circle of friends and by his family. His remains will be interred in Rock Spring Cemetery today at one o'clock, conducted by Elder J. T. Satterwhite. Peace to his ashes. A more extended notice will appear next week.
