Aged 39. Teacher in Springfield public schools for 22 years. She graduated from Springfield High school in 1915 and then went to Illinois State Normal University and taught in teacher's training at Enos and Palmer schools before taking a teaching position at Stuart school in 1922. She was later head of the art department. Survived by mother Mrs. JT M. Kelly; sisters Mrs. J. E. Dalbey, Mrs. G. C. Wise, Miss Virginia, and Mrs. Harrison McAvin.
