Mrs. Mary Ketus Carter Johnston (1864-1957) of Bunnell passed away in a Bunnell Hospital Sunday night. She was born in San Mateo, June 13, 1884, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Carter. The family moved to Cartersville during her early childhood.

She was married to John Baggs Johnston and they moved to Flagler County in 1895. She was a charter member of the Bunnell Methodist Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mary Spencer, Orlando, Mrs. Martha Keziah Pellicer, Mrs. Katherine Delores Bankston, and Mrs. Letty Copeland, all of Bunnell; two sons, Ernest Walton Johnston and Ishara [sic] Johnston, both of Bunnell; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Idella Morrison, Hastings.

Also 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today at the Bunnell Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. L. E. Watkins, officiating, and interment followed in the family plot in Pellicer Creek Cemetery.
