Word was received in Atlanta Thursday of the sudden death of Tilden Adamson Wednesday night, in Philadelphia. Mr Adamson collapsed, it was stated, just as he was sitting down to dinner on Wednesday night.

Mr Adamson was born in Clayton County, Georgia. At the time of his death he was connected with the United States shipping board and resided in Springfield, NJ.

The funeral will be held Saturday at the old Adamson home at The Rock, Clayton county. The body will be brought to Atlanta Friday afternoon, arriving here at 5 o'clock.

Mr Adamson is survived by his wife, who was Miss Clara Mae Slocum; three children, Martilla, Winifred and Tilden, Jr; four sisters, Ada, of Hapeville; Mrs J T Cowen, of Atlanta; Mrs James C Hale, of Atlanta, and Mrs W E Barr, of Rex, Ga, and five brothers, Robert, of New York; L C, of Pensacola; Emory, of Jacksonville; Linton, of Rex, and C C of Rex.

He was a member of a prominent north Georgia family, a son of the late A P Adamson, of Clayton county.
