Mrs. Bernice O. Butcher, 87, wife of Harley Frank Butcher, died Monday afternoon at her home, 1118-1/2 S. Walnut St. She had been in ill health for some time, but her death came unexpectedly.
She was born in Dunkirk, a daughter of Thomas J. and Margaret Reese Berry, and came to Muncie with her husband in 1925. Mrs. Butcher was formerly employed at Tuhey Canning Co. She was a member of Madison Street Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge 3.
Surviving beside her husband is a daughter, Mrs. C. C. Cooper, San Antonio, Tex.
