bio: Death of Mrs. A.C. Campbell: Mrs. A.C. Campbell was stricken with apoplexy on Saturday evening, June 26th, and lingered until the following Saturday morning when she quietly passed away. The funeral was held on Sunday morning; the body being taken to the home of her daughter in Marion, O, for burial. Mrs. Campbell was a resident of this village for forty-two years, and had she lived until the 21st of August would have been 68 years old. She was also planning to celebrate her golden wedding anniversary on the 26th of August. For many years she has been dominate in church and benevolent work, being the most faithful in her attendance upon those organizations of which she was a member. She was a woman of remarkable social quality, having a retentive memory and delightful powers of conversation. She became an excellent advisor for a great host of loving friends, who most sorely mourn her death. She was gifted with an unusually cheery and happy disposition, and her face was a benediction to all who knew her. Her death was just as she had prayed that it might be, sudden and with but little suffering. So that she quickly past from the joyful service of the present life to the perfect joy of her Father's reward. [from unknown Erie Co, NY newspaper]
