Barzilla Clark had a granddaughter named Marilda Ferris Dunn Stratton. In 1912, she wrote her family history and said Barzilla Clark and his sister Dorcas Clark Sackett's father was Thomas Clark and that Barzilla named his first son after his father. This is an unpublished history, just circulated among a few people, but I am in the process of making it accessible through familysearch.org/books. It will take up to 6 months to process but should be available by the end of the year or in early 2021.
Many ancestry trees keep perpetuating the misinformation that Barzilla Clark was the son of Nathaniel Clark (and usually they also say his mother was Thankful Gates). But this is incorrect. A few genealogy websites (including familysearch.org) have started to say Barzilla was the father of his sister Dorcas but I am working to stop this misinformation. I will appreciate it if the information on Dorcas and Barzilla in findagrave does not perpetuate this false narrative. So, it would be great if you unlinked her from this set of parents.
