Simpson was born in 1810 in Virginia, as was wife Elizabeth in 1808.
Drury Warren migrated with his wife, also named Elizabeth, and family to Robertson County Tennessee in the early 1800s, as did the Richards, Stewart, Jones, Maddox, England, and Hodges families.
These families lived closely, farmed, and raised their families there until 1828-30 when most of them moved on into Illinois to Macoupin and Morgan Counties. Some Warrens, Simpson included; remained in Tennessee. A few Warrens pushed on into Polk County Missouri, and Peter into Illinois.
