---Alta May Cunningham 72, of Springfield, Mo., passed away June 8, 2009. She was born September 18, 1936 in Green Castle, Mo., the daughter of Walter and Lulu (O'Bell) McDole.
---She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Cunningham and a sister, Lillie Graham.
---She was united in marriage to Jack Raymond Cunningham on February 1, 1953 in LaPlata, Mo.
---Alta is survived by Jack R. Cunningham of Springfield, Mo.; a son, Walter D. Cunningham of Lubbock, Texas; and a daughter, Patricia A. Mullet of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; Beth, Ruth and Bradlin Cunningham all of Texas, Raymond Shafer of Fort Drum, New York, and Nicholas Mullet of Springfield, Mo.
---Alta was a homemaker and was a very active member in the Assembly of God Church.
---Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 in the Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.
---In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alta Cunningham Memorial C/O Walnut Lawn Funeral Home 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St, Springfield, MO 65807.
