Rev. Oral Fletcher Fisher was the son of Charles Thomas and Maude Augusta (Colon) Fisher. He was the husband of Betsy Louise (Phillips) Fisher. Betsey died April 25, 2011. Rev. Fisher was a minister in the Central New York Conference and Genesee Conference/Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference of The Methodist Church/United Methodist Church.

FISHER.--The Reverend Mr. Oral Fisher passed away on September 1 at the age of 68. Surviving him are his wife, Betsy, and three children, Frederick, Sharon and Cynthia. A Memorial Service was held at the Kenmore United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 6. Mr. Fisher began his ministry in 1947. He came to the Western New York Conference from Central New York Conference in 1952. In Western New York he served churches in Kenmore, Westfield, Rochester, Batavia, and most recently Lockport: Emmanuel. He retired from active ministry in 1985 and he and his wife were living in Grand Island. This past spring they had participated in a China study tour.
