Last Sunday evening, at the home of Henry Deiwert, in Monroeville, occured the death of his wife, Mrs. Kasiah Deiwert. She had been a sufferer for years with consumption, but at times would ? and had hopes of recovering for health.

Mrs. Deiwert was born in the 30th day of September , 1832, at St. Louis, Ind., and was united in marriage to Henry Deiwert, in the city of her birth, on the 22nd of November, 18??m and lived with her companion for a period of fifty-eight years and two months. To this union there were born twelve children, all of whom survive except one, a son, who died in infancy. The children surviving are; Mrs. James Rollins and Walter Deiwert, of Lowell, Mass.; Mrs. Lota Robuck and Eva McDaniel, of Delphos, Ohio; Mrs Maude Everett and Miss Emma Deiwert of Emporia, Kas.; Miss Mae Deiwert and Elmer Deiwert, of Portland, Ore.; N. Deiwert, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Ida Wright and William Deiwert, of Monroeville, who with the bereaved husband, twenty-three grand-children, three great grandchildren and a large circle of friends mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted under the auspices of the Daughters of Rebekah, Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at the M.E. church at Monroeville, by Rev. W. E. Murray, a former pastor of the deceased, now located at Huntington, Ind., assisted by the present pastor, Rev. C. Tinkham.
