Married by about 1623 Mary _____. "Mary wife of Robert Rainolls deceased January 18" 1663[/4?] at Boston.
Savage presented this immigrant as "ROBERT, Watertown 1635, shoemaker, freeman 3 September 1634, was dismissed by the church 29 March 1636, to form a church at Wethersfield, but probably after few years removed to Boston." Bond and Stiles also made this connection of Robert Reynolds with Watertown and Wethersfield. These sources are all dependent on one Connecticut record. On 29 Ma[rch] 1636, "the church of Waterton in the Masachusetts" dismissed six men, including "Rob[er]te Reynold," to "form anew in a church covenant in the River of Conectecott." The subject of the present sketch was a member of the church at Boston, while JOHN REYNOLDS {1634, Watertown} was a member of Watertown church at least a year before the Connecticut record given just above, so we conclude that the Connecticut record pertains to John Reynolds, and there is no connection of Robert Reynolds with Watertown and Wethersfield. (The claim that Robert Reynolds of Boston was granted land in Watertown misconstrues the grant of land at Muddy River by the town of Boston.
