Edwin P. Billinger, 91, WaKeeney, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. He was born Dec. 27, 1920, in Victoria to Peter and Frances (Weigel) Billinger.

He married Loretta (Bollig) Billinger on June 4, 1946, in Collyer.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, WaKeeney; three sons, Kenneth Billinger, Norman, Okla., Glennis Billinger, WaKeeney, and Randy Billinger, Broomfield, Colo.; two daughters, Frances Dick, St. John, and Karen Brown, LaVista, Neb.; a sister, Bernice Stithem, WaKeeney; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Collyer; burial in St. Michael Cemetery, Collyer, with military rites by Fort Riley Color Guard. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney. A rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A vigil will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital Long Term Care or Christ the King CYO in care of the funeral home.
