She was married to actor, Robert Douglas from 1936 until 1945 when they divorced. She married actor, Sir Anthony Quayle CBE, in 1947 and remained married until his death in 1989. They had three children together-Christopher Quayle, Rosanna Astley, and actress Jenny Quayle. She died of a stroke.
