"734. Samuel Eastman, born in Mt. Vernon, Me., Oct. 27, 1784; died in Strong, Me., Jan. 20, 1864; married March 22, 1807, Jane Hitchcock, born Sept. 29, 1786, died in Strong, Me., July 10, 1865. Mr. Eastman resided in Strong, Me., where he was a local justice of some note. He was at one time a state senator, and a captain in the militia.

ii. Hiram, b. Sept. 10, 1809; d. Oct. 4, 1809.
iii. Samuel, b. Oct. 1810; d. in New Orleans, Oct. 2, 1832; unm. iv. Benjamin C., b. Oct. 24, 1812; d. in Plattsville, Wis.; m. 1841, Charlotte S. Sewell. They had no children. He was a prominent lawyer, and a member of congress from Wisconsin.

vi. Ezekiel Porter, b. June 18, 1817; d. in Lynn, Mass., Feb. 18, 1860.
