Evan J. Burton entered into eternal rest on November 10, 1965. He served this conference as a loyal and devoted pastor in Galeton, Williamsville (1914-1917), Silver Springs, Eldred, Port Allegany, Naples, Elma and Smethport. He served the Conference as Evangelist in 1919. He was married to Mrs. Iva Larrison of Sabinsville, Ohio on October 16, 1958. Surviving him are three sisters all living in Ohio, a stepson, the Reverend K. W. Larrison, pastor of Bryn Myer Chruch in Seattle, Washington, and his widow in Lecanto, Florida. The Committal service for Evan J. Burton took place at the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery near Bradford, Pa.
