She was born in Almy, Wyoming to Benjamin Thomas and Olive Lovenia Booth Nichols, and was the eldest daughter of 11 children.
Vera married Thomas Martin Davis in Malad on Dec. 31,1923. He preceeded her in death in 1968.
The Davis family spent 13 years in Thatcher where Tom taught school in the Thatcher School District.
Vera graduated from BYU with a degree in education and taught school in Star Valley, Wyoming and Samaria, Idaho.
The Davis family moved to Ogden, Utah in 1942. She resumed her teaching in the Layton Utah school district. She worked several years as an employee of the US Postal service in Ogden, Utah and taught music.
She is the grandmother of the well known Osmond entertainers. She was a member of the LDS church and was active in the church organizations.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Nichols Davis of Springville, Utah and a daughter Mrs. Olive Osmond of Provo, Utah. 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two sisters, Helen Mickelson of Lago, Idaho and Dora Denison of Castle Dale, Utah.
Funeral services were held in Ogden, Utah with burial in Ogden City Cemetery.
