"Verda Lee Ross, age 81, died August 26, 1991 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born July 1, 1910 in Clifton, Idaho to Samuel M. and Louisa Bingham Lee. Married Charles J. Ross on June 17, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Long-time employee of ZCMI. Active in the LDS Church auxiliaries and choir. The only surviving member of her immediate family. She was most helpful to her husband in all his church callings. She also had been very close to her Prophet brother, President Harold B. Lee and was supportive of him and his callings.
Verda was interested in all phases of life and all it has to offer. She liked people and many of her numerous friends would seek her out to be cheered up by her humor and great faith.
She is survived by her husband and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services on Thursday, August 29th, at 12 noon, 20th Ward of Eagle Gate Stake, 107 G. Street. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday evening 7-8 p.m. and at the ward on Thursday 11-11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery."
