Funeral services for Fred W. Adams, age 59, an old time resident of this locality, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Church of God with Rev. V. J. Gritzmacher officiating. Burial was in the Itasca cemetery at Grand Rapids. Mr. Adams was born April 12, 1882, in Clear Lake, IA., where he lived until coming to Minnesota in 1913.

For many years he operated a farm west of Cohasset until five years ago, when he and Mrs. Adams moved to Grand Rapids because of his poor health. Mr. Adams entered the Itasca hospital three weeks ago, and passed away Monday morning, January 5. The surviving relatives are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. LaVerna C. Porter of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Thora O. Stenborg of Spring Valley, Wis., one son, Clifford L. Adams, of Cohasset; two half sisters, Mrs. Mabel Darrow of Rush City and Mrs. Rose Hobbs of Crystal Lake, IA.; one half brother, Frank Keil, of Henrietta; and five grandchildren.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Darrow of Rush City; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Keil of Henrietta; Frank Keil of Aitkin; Henry and Jessie Harthan of Duluth. Mr. and Mrs. Hjalmer Olson of Duluth, and Mrs. O'Mally of Duluth. The pallbearers were all old friends of the deceased as follows: Fred Bentz, Paul Borek, Truman Seamans, William Shook, A.H. Frick, and Royal Mattson, all of Grand Rapids.
