Annie S. Geyer

Annie S. Geyer, 84, died on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, in a Memphis, Tn., hospital.

She was born in Athens, Tn., but had lived in Rossville most of her life.

She had worked at Peerless Woolen Mills and Rossville Mills. She was an active member of Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Geyer; her parents, Abner E. Slack and Melissa W. Slack, and Julia T. Slack; three brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Charlene (Hubert) Smith; one granddaughter, Alice (Edgar) Thomas; two great-grandsons; and two great-great grandchildren, all of Memphis; sister, Abbie S. Jones, East Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Braxton Cotton officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
