According to a Philadelphia death certificate, Joseph G. Stevens died July 26, 1872 of drowning and was buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pa.
It is believed that his remains were moved to the Lawnview Memorial Park Cemetery in Rockledge, Pa. during the 1950's.
