CHESTER DOLPH BURIED
LAST RITES FOR ATTORNEY HELD AT LATE HOME
Interment for Barrister Prominent in Portland for Many Years Is in Riverview Cemetery
Funeral services for Chester V. Dolph, 61, of 614 Carter lane, who died Sunday night after an illness of several months, were held yesterday at 2:30 P.M., with the Rev. Thomas J. Villers officiating. Interment was at Riverview cemetery.
Mr. Dolph was born in Portland February 15, 1869, the son of the late Senator and Mrs. Joseph N. Dolph. He was widely known in the legal profession and was active in his work until the time of his death.
Active pallbearers at the impressive ceremony were Henry Green Reed, Dr. Edward W. Simmons, John C. Failing, Stephen Appleby, William H. Lines and Edmund W. Clark III.
Honorary pallbearers included Senator Joseph Simon, Judge George Tazwell, Judge Robert G. Morrow, Louis Clarke, B. B. Beekman and Judge Wallace McCamant.
Mr. Dolph is survived by the widow, Mrs. Mable Chapman Dolph; three daughters, Daphne Dolph, residing in France, and Mrs. Lloyd Jensen and Mrs. Frederick W. Dost, both of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Colonel Cyrus A. Dolph of Portland and Henry V. Dolph of Sierra Madre, Cal., and a sister, Mrs. William Collette of Palo Alto, Cal.
