"Mrs. Lowe's Funeral to Be Today"
The funeral of Mrs. Laura B. Lowe will be held at 1 o'clock this afternoon from the East Side Undertakers' Chapel, East Sixth and East Alder streets. Interment Multnomah Cemetery. Mrs. Lowe died at her home, at Otis, in Lincoln County, May 9, from injuries received by a fall. The deceased was a pioneer of Oregon and Washington, having crossed the isthmus of Panama in 1848. She is survived by her husband, Professor Lowe, formerly connected with the Portland city schools, and a son and daughter.

"Oregon Pioneer and Native of Illinois Dies at Otis, May 9"
Mrs. Laura B. Lowe, who was killed at her home near Otis, Or., May 9, by accidentally falling down stairs, was born in Illinois in 1860 and came to Oregon in 1866 with her parents by way of the Isthmus of Panama. The family settled in Linn County, near Brownsville. In 1868 they moved to Puget Sound, where a large number of relatives of the Baker, Murray and Denny families still reside. Mrs. Lowe later lived near Portland for several years. A husband, Professor A. N. Lowe; a son, Frank S. Murray and a daughter, Mrs. A. A. Lowe survive her.

Laura married my 1st cousin 4x removed, Robert Murray. They had 3 children Frank Stuart; Ruby & Inez Lena. In 1904 she married Allen Nelson Lowe. Her girl Inez married Albert Allen Lowe.
