Funeral services for Mamie Boyd, 97, o f Colorado City were scheduled for 10:30 a.m Monday at 22nd & Austin Street Church of Christ with Mr. Eric Dickey officiating. Burial was in Loraine Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs Boyd died August 5, 1995 at Valley Fair Lodge.
She was born July 28, 1898 in Coleman County, Texas. She married Charley Lee Boyd on October 12, 1919 in Mitchell County. H e died November 7, 1973. Mrs Boyd was born to John and Mary Tiller. She had been a resident of Colorado City since 1904 She was a homemaker and along time member of the 22nd and Austin Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, J. W. "Shorty” Boyd of Loraine and Gerald Boyd of San Angelo, four daughters, Mamie Lee Boyd of Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, Laura Mane Montgomery of San Antonio, Allene Hill of Colorado City and Charlene Lahti of Dianne, Texas, one brother, John Tiller of Brownwood, one sister, Stella Tidwell of Grand Prairie, 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
