George B. Lippencott, aged 68 years, of Waynesburg, died in the state hospital at Torrance, near Greensburg, Monday morning, February 15, of bronchial pneumonia. He had been in the hospital several months. Mr. Lippencott was a son of Uriah and Matilda Vandruff Lippencott, deceased, and was born at Lippencott, on Ruff creek, December 24, 1864. When a young man he follwoed farming and later removed to Waynesburg where for a time he engaged in the mercantile business. He had been retired for several years. His wife, Mrs. Dora Conley Lippencott died twenty-five years ago. Three children survive, Fred B. Lippencott, of St, Louis, Mo.; William H. Lippencott, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. James S. Pedlar, of Akron, Ohio. One brother, Uriah E. Lippencott, of Pittsburgh, and two sisters, Mrs. Altha (Nora) Harris, of Washington, Pa., and Mrs. John (Martha) Crayne, of Lippencott, also survive.
