Services for Mamie Lake Burris, 87, who died Wednesday at the Bloomington Convalescent Center, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Greene and Garrell Mortuary with the Rev. Stuart Brightwell officiating. Burial will be in the Valhalla Memory Gardens. She was born April 24, 1890 in Monroe County the daughter of William L. and Ella Lake. She was a retired employee of Indiana University. She was a member of the McDoel Baptist Church and Mothers of World War 2. She is survived by two sons, Everett Burch, Bloomington, and William Burch, Indianapolis; two step-sons, Gene Burris and Robert Burris, both of Bloomington; one step-daughter, Edith Drake, Bloomington; one brother, Harland Lake, Bloomington; six grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Morris and John Burch; her first husband, Isaac Peter Burch; and her second husband, Elza Burris.
