ARTHURDALE,WEST VIRGINIA -- Albert Edward Mayfield, 52, of Arthurdale died
Tuesday afternoon, March 23, 1971, at St. Vincent Pallotti Hospital.
He was born August 9, 1918, in Morgantown, a son of the late Albert Joshua and
Virginia Pauline Sankbeil Mayfield.
He was a member of the Arthurdale Presbyterian Church, a veteran of World War II
and a member of the UMWA, Local Union 2122.
He is survived by his wife, June Williams Mayfield; one son, Albert E., Jr., of
Leesburg, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Harriet) Mansberger of Morgantown; two
sisters, Mrs. Hazel Sufritz of Morgantown and Mrs. Helen James of Alexandria,
Va.
Friends may call at the residence in Arthurdale from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m.
until 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until noon on Friday. Services will be held at
1 p.m. Friday in the Arthurdale Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Raymond B.
Spivey officiating. Morgan Funeral Home of Reedsville is in charge of
arrangements. Burial will follow in Arthurdale Cemetery.
