Catherine (Kay) VanDruff, 88, of Cheat Lake, W.Va., and formerly of Bald Hill, Dilliner, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born March 31, 1919, in Walnut Lane, Maidsville, W.Va., a daughter of Luther Morris and Grace Lough Donley.

A 1937 graduate of Point Marion High School, she worked at Wonder Bakery in Akron, Ohio, during World War II and later in the dietetic department of University Hospital in Morgantown.

She was Methodist.

Surviving are her three children and their spouses, Marilee and Allan Areford of Cheat Lake, Diana Bennett of Dilliner and Stanley and Carol VanDruff of King George, Va.; eight grandchildren, Wesley Allen and Steven Ray Areford, Wendy Kay Hewett, Arthur (Lynn) and Barry K. Bennett, John Wesley Stemple and Frank and Brian Bennett; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Delores June Friday and husband William of Mentor, Ohio; and two brothers, James W. Donley and wife Ruth of Westover, W.Va., and Daniel G. Donley of Oakland, Md.

Deceased are her husband of 65 years, Wesley E. VanDruff, who died Nov. 13, 2004; three brothers, Luther, in infancy, Robert G. and Garland Donley; and three sisters, Estella John, Madaline (Betty Lou) Tustin and Rosalee Hyde.
