Army Spc Sylvestre was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia. He died of injuries sustained from a noncombat-related incident. Jonathon joined the Army in June of 2007 where he received the ARCOM, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service, Global War on Terrorism, Iraq Campaign, Army Service and Overseas Awards. Jonathon is survived by his parents, James and Sharon Sylvestre.
