Fred C. Asher, 76 of Stealey Street died Saturday September 23, 1978 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. He was born in Tyler County West Virginia, son of the late Albert and Sophia Baker Asher. He was a member of the Stealey Street Methodist Church and operated the Asher Farm and Building Supply of Middlebourne.
Surviving is one son Charles Asher of Middlebourne , one brother Kahle Asher of Canton, Ohio and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Asher and one daughter Nancy Jane Asher.
Services were held at the Goodwin Funeral Home in Middlebourne with the Reverend Calvin Ferrell officiating and the burial will be at the Middlebourne Cemetery.
