Funeral services for Malena Crochet LeJeune, 87, were held at St. Jules Catholic Church. Burial followed in Tee-Mamou Cemetery. Mrs. LeJeune died at June 6, 1996 in a local nursing home. A lifelong resident of Evangeline, she was a homemaker and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors are three sons, Murry, Leward & Donald LeJeune, all of Evangeline; seven daughters, Mrs. Lionel (Isavern) Kinney of Kyle, Texas, Mrs. Elroy (Edna) Pousson of Iota, Mrs. Nolan (Earline) Ackoury of Jennings, Mrs. Gary (Glenda) Vincent of Sulphur, Mrs. Frank (Lenora) Gravot of Lafayette and Mrs. Rena Pousson and Mrs. Leon (Joyce) Pousson, both of Groves, Texas; 57 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond LeJeune, and two sons, Williard and Meldon LeJeune.
