Oscar Barbey, 67, died on Oct. 9, 2008. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Perry Funeral Home, 34 Mercer Street, Newark, N.J. Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside. Mr. Barbey was born in Blakely, Ga., on Feb. 2, 1941, and lived in Lakewood. He leaves to mourn wife, Beatrice Barbey; children, Oscar Davis Barbey III, Denise Davis and Oscar Suggs, Jr.; nine grandchildren; brother, Watson Barbey; a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
