LEOMINSTER - Robert L. Brown, 60, of 76 Highland Ave., died yesterday in Burbank Hospital, Fitchburg, after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Janet I. (Cote) Brown; a son, Steven R. Brown of Leominster; a daughter, Melissa J. Brown, of Leominster; and a brother, Thomas Brown of Orange, Va.
Another son, Michael R. Brown, died in 1979.
He was born in Culpepper, Va., son of Rice M. and Sarah Brown, and had lived in this city many years.
Mr. Brown had been employed as a truckdriver by E.T. Cote & Sons of Leominster.
He was a member of St. Leo's parish and a former member of the church choir. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
The funeral will be held Thursday from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main St. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests memorial donations be made to the Neuro Muscular Research Unit, 750 Washington St., Box 273, Boston, 02111.
