Mrs. James H. Thornwell, of Fort Mill, S.C., Succumbs to Attack of Heart Failure--Was Well-Known Palmetto Lady.

Fort Mill, S. C., Dec. 18, 1 a. m. -- Mrs. James H. Thornwell died very suddenly at her home here this morning at 12:30 o'clock of heart failure. She had been ill for several weeks, but her condition was not serious and death was probably due to heart failure.
Mrs. Thornwell was the relict of Dr. James H. Thornwell, whose death occurred about a year ago, and was a fine Southern lady and well known in this State. Three sons, Earl, Allison and James, and five daughters, Mary, Grace, Ladybird, Florence and Jennie survive. The last named was married to Dr. James Boyce Elliott, of this place, only a few days ago.
