French Queen. In 1322, she married the recently divorced Charles IV in Provins, and in May 1323, she was crowned Queen of France. In the same year, she gave birth to a stillborn daughter. In 1324, six months pregnant and on her way to Avignon to meet the Pope, her carriage overturned and she was brought to Issoudun. Once there she gave birth to a son who died after a few hours. Weakened from the birth she followed him three weeks later.
