Pervis A Morgan, age 68, of Woodland, died Wednesday, October 8 at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 11 at Amity Baptist Church. Burial was in Amity Cemetery with the Rev. James A Bryant officiating.

The son of the late Joseph Perry Morgan and the late Sally Walls, he was retired. He was born in Union County and was a member of Amity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Scott Morgan of Woodland; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Ellen Kennedy and Mrs. Judy Fountain, both of Pensacola, Florida; three sons, William A Morgan of Pensacola, Florida, Ira Delane Morgan and Dennis Morgan, both of Woodland; three sisters, Mrs. Geneva Eaton of Montpelier, Mrs. Maudie Caradine of West Point and Mrs. Dessie Peck of Oxford, Ohio; one brother, Porter Morgan of Cincinnati, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Gary Morgan, Glenn Morgan, Charley Kennedy, Bradley Fountain, Tim Martin, and Gary Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers were Ray John, Frank McClesky, Charlie McClesky, Joe Dalton and Eugene Forrester.

Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
