Stella Pauline Buckman Maupin, 97, Lebanon, died at 5:05 a.m. December 8, 2009, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. Born January 26, 1912, in Marion County, Maupin was a former homemaker and member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Harry Maupin; parents, George William & Mattie Elizabeth Ray Buckman; a son, Donald Maupin; two grandchildren, Jennifer Angelini and Christopher Maupin; five brothers and one sister. Survivors include: five daughters, Anita Davis of Greenville, SC, Bonnie Luckett, Joan Abell and Linda Hayes, all of Lebanon, and Paula Jay of Louisville; two sons, J.W. Maupin of Lebanon and Bernard Maupin of Beaver Dam; a sister, Catherine Shoemaker of Lebanon; 26 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and special caregiver, Angie Mattingly. The funeral Mass was held December 10 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Finley with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. James S. Bromwich officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons, John Davis, Joey, Marty & Rod Maupin, Joe Luckett and Tim Hayes. Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, was in charge of arrangements.

Stella Pauline Buckman Maupin, 97, Lebanon, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009, Springview Hospital, Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her parents, George William & Mattie Elizabeth Ray Buckman. Survivors include five daughters, Anita Davis, Greenville, SC, Bonnie Luckett, Joan Abell and Linda Hayes, all of Lebanon, and Paula Jay, Louisville; and two sons, J.W. Maupin, Lebanon, and Bernard Maupin, Beaver Dam. The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, Finley, with burial in the Our Lady of the Hills Cemetery, Finley. The Rev. James S. Bromwich will be the celebrant. Visitation is 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, with a vigil at 5 p.m. Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
