NEWELL - Kenneth Wade Renfro, 70, of Newell, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at Weirton Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1939, in Elizabethton, Tenn., a son of the late Earl and Ellen Bradshaw Renfro.
Kenneth came to Newell when he was 17. He soon after joined the Army Reserves. He was a former Barr finisher at Crucible Steel, and he was a member of the Newell American Legion Post 114, where he served as past trustee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Shane Michael Renfro; two brothers, Herb and Bill; and two sisters, Loraine and Mary.
Surviving at home is his wife, Emma Mae (Anderson) Renfro; three children, Bill (Sarena) Renfro of New Cumberland, Cheryl (Charlie) Walker of Newell and Donna Renfro of Elizabethton, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Brian (Kristen) Renfro, Michelle (Bob) Beshara, Kenny (Megan) Walker, Megan Renfro, Steve Knox and Eric Knox; seven great-grandchildren, Gregory, Becky, Emma, Shane, Michaela, Katie and Hannah; two brothers, Robert (Pat) Renfro of Alabama and Dewey Renfro of Tenn.; two sisters, Joyce (Gene) Richards of Tenn., and Romaine Watson of Tenn.; and by several nieces and nephews.
