Betty Lou (Bennett) White was born in Holdenville on November 7, 1932 to Henry F. and Lula E. Bennett. She was the youngest of ten children, and went to be with the Lord she loved so dearly in her home in Jenks, Oklahoma on Thursday, May 1, 2008.

She began playing the piano in church at the age of nine. Churches she served included Holdenville Church of the Nazarene, Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, Bartlesville, Eastwood Baptist Church, Tulsa, First Baptist Church of Jenks, Beaver Street Baptist Church of Jenks, and First Baptist Church of Tulsa, South (now South Tulsa Baptist Church). Since 1996, she has served as pianist at South Heights Baptist Church of Sapulpa, where her son, Todd W. White, is the pastor. She was recognized in 2006 for sixty-three years of service as a church pianist by the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma's Music Department, and received a personal letter of congratulations for her commitment to church music by President George W. Bush.

A graduate of Holdenville High School, she received her bachelor of science degree in business administration from Oklahoma City University.

She married T. W. White, Jr., who was Fleet Service Manager for Cities Service Oil Company for many years, in 1952. They had two children, Todd William White and Jeffrey Scott White. She worked for Sooner Pipe and Supply Company, Skelly, Getty, and Texaco Oil Companies, all of Tulsa, and most recently for CARD, Inc. Head Start of Claremore, Oklahoma.

Preceding her in going Home were her parents, three brothers - Frank Bennett, Jr., Henry S. Bennett, and Jack D. Bennett, two sisters - Maudie Giles and Thelma Gordon, her husband - T. W. White, Jr., her in-laws - T. W., Sr. and Florence White, along with several nieces and nephews.

She left behind her son Todd White, his wife, Shirley, and their children - Hannah, Nathaniel (Rebekah), and Seth (LeAnna), all of Sapulpa, her youngest son Jeffrey S. White of Tulsa, two brothers - Harry L. (Marie) Bennett, of Tulsa, and Bob E. (Sally) Bennett of Ada, two sisters - Gladys (Melvin) Swinhart of Holdenville, and Willa Miner of Mulberry, Arkansas, plus a host of relatives, friends, and associates, all of whom she loved as though they were part of her immediate family.
