Colonel Murray Dies at 75
Col. John V. Murray, 75, U.S. Army (retired) died Sunday in Bryn Mawr Hospital. Bryn Mawr.
He lived lived at 100 Strathmere Road, Haverjtown.
Col. Murray retired in October, 1961. He was a member of Temple Lutheran Church Brookline, University Lodge 610 F & AM, Philadelphia, 315 Infantry Officers Association, Harold A Kluge Post 311 Veterans of Foreign Affairs, Nunan-Slook Post 338 American Legion, Haverford Republican Committee and the Military Order of World Wars.
He is survived by his widow, the former Ella Lee.
Services for burial will be at 10am Thursday in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at George C Toppitzer Funeral Home, Garrett Road at Landsdowne Ave., Drexel Hill.
