Ellis Blond Campbell, age 94, Ozark, passed away December 26, 2009 in his home. He was born October 22, 1915 in Christian County, Missouri, the son of Charles Newton and Lydia (McCarty) Campbell. Blond was a lifelong resident of Christian County.

On april 15, 1934, he married Helen Baird. They had one son, Terry Ellis. They were married 70 years before her death in 2004.

Blond worked as a welder and then as a foreman for Ash Grove Cement, retiring in 1977. He loved horses, hunting and fishing and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include: his son, Terry Campbell and wife Kimberly, Ozark, two grandsons, TJ Campbell, Ozark and Aaron Campbell and wife Jill, Sparta; three great grandchildren, Amber, Karrie and Cody, and a sister, Charlene Pippin, Rogersville.

In addition to his wife, Blond was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Laymond, Carl and Roy K. and two sisters, Zella Loveland and Velma Campbell.

Services were held Wednesday, December 30, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with interment in Pembina Cemetery, Rogersville.
