Juanita was the daughter of the late Willie Edgar Rodgers, Sr. and the late Emma Lewis Rodgers. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama and also The Alabama College of Cosmetology. Juanita lived in Birmingham, Alabama for 21 years, also 25 years in Norfolk, VA, and 26 years in Charleston, SC, and 14 years in Perry, GA. She has resided the past two and a half years in Charleston, SC. She was a lifetime member of CSHC and held various offices in "The Ladies Prayer Circle" of CSHC in Norfolk, VA, and Charleston, SC. Most of all, Juanita was truly a homemaker and wonderful seamstress. In earlier years, their church made her and her husband Co-Chaplains; she and her husband loved to visit and cheer the sick, bereaved or lonely. Mrs. Ware's ministry was sending cards to anyone who needed cheering. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Herston Leon Ware, Sr. and survivors include one son, Herston L. Ware, Jr. and wife, Joan, of Virginia Beach, VA; one daughter, Emily Martin, and husband, Curtis Martin, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sisters, Bernice Rodgers Prince, of Atlanta, GA, and Hilda Merritt of Augusta, GA; five grandchildren, Robert Leon Ware, and wife, Josie, David Michael Ware and wife, Susie, Jeffrey Allen Ware and wife, Kathy, all of Virginia Beach, VA, Cheryl Mahaffey and husband, Mike Mahaffey, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Marty Chandler and wife, Darleen, of N. Charleston, SC. She was also survived by 12 great-grandchildren: David Andrew Ware, Ryan Ware, Michael Ware, Collin Ware, Christian Ware, Emma Ware, Chandler Mahaffey, Trace Chandler, Joshua Ware, Matthew Ware, Tyler Ware, and Taylor Grace Mahaffey. She was also predeceased by a daughter Rosalind Jeanette Ware.
