John Larrabee died in Clayton County, Iowa. Maybe in Garnavillo, but possibly in Grand Meadow. A letter in the Larrabee family archives at Montauk Historic Site (Fayette County, Iowa) from William Larrabee to his father Adam back in Connecticut indicate that he is looking at how to remove John's remains and that he intends to move them. The letter is dated March 6, 1859. So, my guess is John's remains got sent back home, which is where his grave is currently.
