Millie Ann Compton, 80, of Louisa, died Sunday, December 22 at her home. Mrs. Compton was born May 12, 1916 in Clifford, KY, a daughter of the late Frank and Lucy Derifield Peters. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Millard Peters. She was a retired Lawrence County school teacher and a member of Mt. Olive United Baptist Church. The funeral was conducted Tuesday, December 24 at Young Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Charles Adkins. Burial was in Derifield Cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Jack G. Compton; 2 sons, Ronnie F. Compton and Larry P. Compton, both of Louisa; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Young Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
